Let’s get straight to the point, the x-bar symbol is heavily used in Statistics. The sample of data is collected from the population which is represented and calculated in a single or one value known as statistics. The x-bar is the symbol or expression which is used to standardly represent the sample mean, statistics, along with the mean to approximate the true population parameters. Step 4: Type X into the equation box.

Steps 6: Click on Accent located in the toolbar at the top-right area of the screen. Represented in a lowercase “a” with umlauts.

Steps 7: A menu of accent symbols will appear, just scroll down and select the first box under the “Overbars and Underbars” icon is represented in a square with the bar icon on the top.

This will place a bar above your ‘x’s and create an X- bar symbol in WordPress.

Follow the steps to do so:

Step 1: Visit the Applications menu and open Word.

Step 2: Just type ‘X‘ anywhere on the page, this will make the X-bar appear.

Step 3: Once done, just press the Ctrl + Command + Space button simultaneously to open the character viewer.

Step 4: Now type ‘combining overline’ into the Search box. Combining overline is represented with a black line around corner rectangle.

Step 5: Click on the combining line, the ‘x’ that you were typed earlier will appear in x-bar.

‘Recently Used’ panel will be added in the Character Viewer so you need to go through the same process to create an x-bar.
