More than that, you can also know the origin of photos on Google, this is known as ‘image search’ which allows you to search the info or the origin of the image using a particular image.
Mind you, there are more than millions of images available online but finding the origin of a specific image is a daunting task. But no more because Google allows you to do an image search on your iPhone, iPad, and Android devices.

How to Image Search on iPhone and iPad
Google Chrome application is available for iOS, iPad, and Android devices. The functionality and features are equal on all the Google Chrome mobile app.
Step 1: Just visit Photos app on your iPhone, iPad.
Step 2: Select the photo that you want to do an image search. Tap on the Share icon, and select Copy Photo from the menu.
Step 3: Once done, launch the Chrome app and double tap on the search bar. From the popup, tap on Search for Copied Image.
Step 4: The search engine will analyze the image and start the searching process.
The most suitable searches will appear on top, and there will be more searches available that you can browse to.
Alternate Method for Image search on iPhone and iPad
Above is the valid method used to do an image search on iPad and iPhone. But you can also do the same process using this alternate method. Here’s how to do that:
Step 1: Download and Install the Reverse app from App Store.
Step 2: Open the app and select the image that you want to do an image search through the same app.
Step 3: Once done, just tap on the search button to start the image searching process.
The default search engine will be Google and it’s good. The reverse app is available to download on iPhone and iPad.
How to Image Search on Android
Doing image search on Android is easy, here we need to download an app ‘Google Lens’ by Google. It will enhance your image searching experience, here’s how to do that:
Step 1: Download and install Google Lens from Google Play Store.
Step 2: Now, visit Photos app or Gallery and select the image.
Step 3: Once you have selected the image, tap on the Share icon and select Lens.
Google Lens will analyze the image and will provide all the appropriate results. More than that, it will present your images, info, locations in the search results.
How to Image Search on any Devices
You can also perform an image search on any device, but we need to access desktop mode to do it on smartphones.
Step 1: Open any browser on your device.
Step 2: Now type Google.com in the URL, because we are using Google Search Engine here.
Step 3: Once done, open Google web search in desktop mode only if you are using a smartphone to search images.
Step 4: Now go to the Google Images tab and select the Camera icon located in the search bar. It will allow you to search the image using a URL or upload the image file.
Once you upload the image that you want to search, Google will show you all the possible results. This method works on every device as soon as you are using the Google search engine for image searching.
Alternate Method on any Devices
It is possible to find the source of the image, this method works best on Google Chrome. We don’t have to upload the images as shown in the above method. This works as searching images that are already uploaded that you have found while browsing the internet.
Step 1: Visit the original image, on the Chrome browser.
Step 2: Do a right-click on the image.
Step 3: Now select to choose “Search image with Google Lens” from the options menu.
Step 4: Next, you can be able to crop the image accordingly. Once done, Google will analyze the image and will show you all possible image search results.
How to Image Search using Yandex
Just like the Google search engine, Yandex is another search engine that also allows us to do an image search.
Step 1: Open any browser on your device, and type Yandex.com in the URL bar.
Step 2: Once done, Yandex will open up on your browser as a search engine. Select the images tab from the menu located above the search bar on the Yandex homepage.
Step 3: Now select the camera icon located on the search bar, it will show you the option to drag the image file or you can also enter a URL.
Now, all the results will open up right on your screen.
How to Image Search using Bing
Bing is also Microsoft’s search engine that has an image search feature option. But here Bing refers to image search as “Visual Search”. Here’s how to use it:
Step 1: Open any browser and type Bing.com in the URL bar to open the Bing search engine.
Step 2: Now we have selected a camera icon located on the search bar. You will see options to upload the image/drag and drop the image or to search the image by URL.
Once you do a visual search, Bing will automatically analyze the image and will serve you all the possible results.
