Xiaomi has finally taken the wraps off the latest version of their homemade Android Skin, MIUI 12. MIUI 12 has been in the works for quite some time and is now available for download for a bunch of Xiaomi devices.

One of the most talked-about features of the MIUI 12 is the MIUI 12 Live Wallpapers or as Xiaomi likes to call – MIUI 12 Super Wallpapers. Xiaomi has taken the concept of live wallpaper and tweaked it a little bit to react beautifully when you unlock the screen.

The good news is that the wallpaper has now been ported to work on other Android devices. Thanks to developer linuxct, you can now install the live wallpapers on any Android device running Android 8.0 and above.

Trust me when I say this, the video above does not do justice to how beautiful the live wallpapers look good. I have tried this on my OnePlus 7 running Android 10 and it works flawlessly. According to the developer, the APK is safe to install on any Android device running Android 8 Oreo and above.

There are two versions of the wallpapers, one featuring Earth and another featuring Mars. You can grab both of them from the below links:

How to use MIUI 12 Live Wallpapers on your device?

1. Download the APK file.
2. Install the APK file just like any other normal APK file.
3. Go to your homescreen > Long press on the homescreen > Choose ‘Wallpapers’.
4. Select the Live Wallpapers sections and then select the wallpapers.

If you the live wallpapers do not show up on your device then you might want to install the Google Wallpapers app from Google Play store and then try again. And when you try again, look for the live wallpapers inside the newly installed Wallpapers app.
