Spotify++ is the modified version of the Spotify app for iOS. It lets you use Spotify Premium for free. You cannot download it from the Apple App Store like you can do with normal apps. Spotify++ is an enhanced version of Spotify which allows the users to stream and listen to music without any restrictions. It also very clean and does not have any ads on it when you are streaming music.

In this article, I have listed out a few methods to install Spotify++ on your iPhone and iPad without jailbreaking the device.

Method 1: Download Spotify++ using TweakBox

TweakBox is an alternative to the App Store. It enables the users to download many tweaked/modified apps, and also many premium games & apps for free. Here’s how you can install TweakBox and use it on your iOS device to download Spotify++.

Step 1: Open Safari on your iOS device and go to TweakBox’s Home Page. Once the website is fully loaded, tap the “Install Now” button.

Step 2: The site will ask you to install a configuration profile, tap Allow to install the same. Follow the onscreen instructions to install TweakBox. If you have set a passcode on your device, you may need to enter it during the process.

Step 3: Once the app is installed, you will find the app’s icon on the screen. Tap on it to open the same. TweakBox is a web-based app, not a native iOS app.

Step 4: When you open the app, you might be shown some sort of ad, close it. Select the Apps tab in the middle, then select “Tweaked Apps“.

Step 5: Type “Spotify” in the search box to quickly search for Spotify++.

Step 6: Click on the Spotify++ app that shows up in the search results, then tap “Install“. Wait for the app to be completely installed.

Step 7: When you open the Spotify++ app for the first time, you will be shown a message that the app’s developer has not been trusted yet. This is expected and can be easily get ridden of. All you need to do is to go to Settings > General > Profile & Device Management, then under the Enterprise App section, find and trust the developer of Spotify++. Now you are free to use the Spotify++ app as you wish!

Please note that the Spotify++ app which you install using this guide is not available to use permanently as Apple can revoke the certificate of the app at any time. If it happens, no need to panic. If you see the “Untrusted Enterprise Developer” again, please try to reinstall it by using any of the methods provided in this guide.

Method 2: Download Spotify++ using AppValley

Just like TweakBox, AppValley also allows the users to browse through and download various apps without having to go through Apple’s official App Store. And the interesting thing is that it even has some apps and games which are officially not available on the App Store. Spotify++ can also be downloaded from this 3rd Party App Store as well. Here are the instructions on how to download Spotify++ for iOS from AppValley.

Step 1: Open Safari and go to AppValley’s Home Page. Then tap on “Install AppValley“.

Step 2: Once you have installed AppValley app, you will need to go to Settings > General > Device and Profile Management, then trust the app’s developer.

Once you are done with the above step, now, you can open AppValley. If you are lucky, you might find Spotify++ in the Featured section. If you do, just tap the “GET” button next to the app, then tap the GET once again to start installing the app on your device.

If you are unable to find the app in the featured section, do not worry, simply use the search functionality just like how you will on the official App Store. You should be able to find the app in no time.

Step 3: After installing Spotify++, when you open it for the first time, you will see the “Untrusted Enterprise Developer…” message. To get rid of this: You will need to go to Settings > General > Device and Profile Management and trust the developer. Once you complete the above steps, you are free to use the Spotify++ app.

Method 3: Download Spotify++ Using TutuApp

Step 1: Open Safari browser and go to TutuApp’s Home Page

Step 2: When the website is fully loaded, tap on the “Install now” button. When prompted, tap Install to confirm the installation. The website also has clear step by step instructions on how to install it properly as well.

Step 3: Go back to the home screen and wait for the installation process to complete. Once the installation is complete, you should see the TutuApp icon on the home screen.

Step 4: When you open the TutuApp for the first time, you will get a message that the app’s developer has not been trusted yet. All you have to do is go to Settings > General > Device Management, then under the Enterprise App section, find and trust the certificate of TutuApp app. Now you are all set to proceed!

Step 5: Launch TutuApp and search for Spotify++ using the search field. You might sometimes find the app on featured section on the homepage of TutuApp as well, since it’s a popular modified app. Just click on the Download button and select Install when TutuApp prompts you to confirm the installation.

Once the app is installed, you can start using it right away. Spotify++ will help you get almost all the premium features of Spotify but for free of cost.

Method 4: Install Spotify++ using Cydia Impactor

There are downsides for using this method to install the Spotify++ app.

1. You need a computer for this method.
2. Every 7 days, the app needs to be re-installed due to Apple’s restrictions on free developer accounts.

Step 1: If you have Spotify already installed on your device, please remove the Spotify app from your device before proceeding. On your computer, click this link to download the IPA file of Spotify++.

Step 3: Once you have installed the Spotify++ app from your computer, open the Settings app and go to General > Profiles & Device Management and find the Spotify++ app profile (ideally in this situation, it should be your Apple ID). Open it and click ‘Trust‘ twice.

Step 4: Done. Now you should be able to listen to any song in Spotify++ app with all the Premium features enabled.

Spotify++ Not Working/ “Unable to Download App” issue

As said before, please note that after a certain period of time, Spotify++ app’s certificate may be revoked by Apple. Apple is not a very big fan of tweaked apps such as this and hence they always try to ban them at the earliest. When this happens, you will get the “Untrusted Enterprise Developer” message again, and unfortunately, this time you can’t trust it in the Settings app. This means that Spotify++ has completely stopped working!

Since the app’s certificate is expired, you can’t re-download it right away. You’ll be notified “Unable to Download App… Spotify++ could not be installed at this time”. So, what exactly can you do about it? All you can do is to wait until a third party app store signs the app and update it again. When it happens, you should be able to download Spotify++ for iOS once again.
