The Windows Task Manager on Windows 10 (and Windows 8) packs some nice new features and improvements. One of such nice, but often overlooked, feature is the ability to copy/paste the details of a particular process simply using the CTRL + C and CTRL + V command.
In this article, we shall see how you can copy the process details of a particular task in Windows Task Manager.
Step 1. Open the Windows Task Manager. The easiest way to do this is to use this key combination: CTRL + SHIFT + ESC
Step 2. Right-click on the application for which you want to copy the process details, and click Go to details.
Step 3. Apart from the details that are displayed by default, you can customize what details you want to appear/copy. To do this, first right-click on the header and select Select columns.
In the next window that appears, you can choose which columns you want to copy and they will be displayed.
Step 4. Once you are done customizing the columns, make sure you have selected the right process and click CTRL + V to copy the process details.
The process details will now be copied to the clipboard. You can now paste the data in anywhere you like; for example in a text editor.
