Spotify introduced a new feature recently where users would be able to search for a song by it’s lyrics. It comes in handy when you don’t actually remember the song title but do know some of the lyrics.
Given the sheer numbers of artists and albums, it is impossible for anyone to remember all the songs they listen to. And there are times when you just listen to a song somewhere and it stuck to you head but you forgot the title. This feature comes in handy in such situations. In this guide, let us see how to make use of this feature.
Search Songs by Lyrics on Spotify
The search by lyrics feature is available on both Android and iOS platforms and here’s how to use it:
Open the Spotify app on your device and click on the search field.
On the next page, simply tap on the search bar.
Next, type down the lyrics of the song that you are trying to find.
You don’t need to write a complete line. Only a few words of the lyrics would be more than enough and you will be shown all the matching results.
Once you type down a few words, hit the search, and all the matching songs will be shown to you.
The songs that have matching lyrics (with what you just searched for) will have the tag “Lyrics Match”
