You can also include exclamation marks or emojis in the same text but no other words or letters to send the balloons automatically. The moment you press the enter button with the ‘Happy Birthday’ text typed in, the receiver will automatically get the balloons on their screen along with your message.

How To Add Balloons Manually in iMessage?

If for some reason the balloons aren’t working automatically on typing Happy Birthday, or you want to add it manually to your texts, then you can follow the quick tutorial below.

1. Type the message in the message box and then you need to tap and hold the send button and you will see an effects screen will pop up.
2. Now, tap in the Screen tab to go to the full-screen effect menu in iMessage.
