Fortunately, it is quite easy to share passwords if you own a Mac to any of the Apple devices including iPhone, iPad, or even other Mac. Below are some steps you can follow to share Wi-Fi passwords over your Mac.
Here are the steps to share Wi-Fi passwords to Mac:
Step 1 – First make sure that the person to whom you want to share the password is linked with your Apple ID and is in your Contacts App.
- You should be able to easily connect networks automatically provided the other person is in your Contacts app
Step 2 – Ensure that your Mac is connected to the Wi-Fi network you want to share and hold the two devices (Your Mac and any other apple device you want to share the Wi-Fi password) close to each other and make sure they are within Bluetooth Range.
Step 3 – On the other device, head to Wi-Fi settings and choose the Wi-Fi network to which you want to connect, and wait for a Pop up message to appear over your Mac.
Step 4 – Once you are done, there will appear a Pop-up notification on the top right corner of your Mac’s Screen.
Step 5 – The Pop-up notification would indicate two buttons ‘Decline’ and ‘Share’. Tap on the ‘Share‘ button to let the other device join your network.
You have now successfully connected the Apple device to your Wi-Fi network in just a few clicks over your Mac.
