You might have entered into situations multiple times in your life where your friends or family come over to your place to stay by, and there comes a time when they need to use your home WiFi for their personal use maybe, as using data at a place where WiFi is available doesn’t really make sense.
So, you end up dictating your WiFi password to the other person which really is frustrating and not to mention it is time-consuming, also most of the time you also end up forgetting the password which you have noted somewhere safe and couldn’t find at such moments.
But no need to worry as we are here to back you up by showing you how you can share your WiFi password with a few Taps over your iPhones.
But before we get into it, make sure that both the users have each other’s contact numbers as Apple ID only allows you to share passwords when you have contact details.
Moreover, you need to make sure that iPhones are near each other and also enable Bluetooth and WiFi to be turned on. To make sure everything goes smoothly do follow the steps mentioned below.
Step 1. Go to Contacts and make sure you have each other’s Apple ID. If you don’t have one, make sure you save it as it is crucial for sharing WiFi passwords over your iPhone.
Step 2. To enable Bluetooth, head to Settings > Bluetooth and turn the switch on.
Step 3. To enable WiFi, head to Settings > WiFi and turn the switch on.
Step 4. Connect to the WiFi network if the device is not yet connected (The one from which you intend to share the password)
Step 5. Now, connect the network, from the device you wanted to have connected, by tapping on the name of the Wifi network.
After that one note message would come up showing a password prompt for connecting to the WiFi network and to access it you need to bring both of the devices close to each other.
Step 6. Once done, a screen will appear from the bottom of the screen which will show the Share Password button, once you place your iPhones close to each other.
The password will automatically be transferred and would be auto-filled onto the other iPhone and you would come across a prompt indicating the procedure is complete, Tap on the ‘Done’ button. iPhone would be successfully connected to the network.
