Steps to install and use Xiaomi Mi Flash Tool

Step 1: Disable driver enforcement and read the prerequisites section for more details.

Step 2: Download the latest Xiaomi Mi Flash Tool from the download section. unzip the downloaded zip file. Run XiaoMiFlash.exe from the unzipped folder.

Step 3: Click on the Driver tab located on the left-top corner. Then click on Install > Install this driver software anyway > Ok and the required drivers will be installed.

Step 4: Download the fastboot ROM from the official Xiaomi Website. After the download is completed Extract the tar file > Unzip the fastboot ROM using 7zip.

Step 5: Go the Xiaomi flash tool. Click on Select and select the fastboot ROM folder. Once selected you can click on the save user data option located at the bottom, it will prevent the deletion of the data stored in the internal storage. or select the clean all option for complete flashing.

Step 6: Connect your device in EDL or Fastboot mode. To switch off your device,

Hold Volume Down + Power simultaneously the connect the device to PC via USB cable.

Step 7: It will show your device id on the flash tool. If it doesn’t show make sure the USB cable is working perfectly. Now, click on the flash button and the flashing process will start. Let the flashing process complete. It will prompt you to be finished if the process gets completed successfully.
