Step 3: A dialog box will open. By default, you’ll be directed to the General tab, but you need to click on the Media tab.
Step 4: Now, you’ve to select the video that you want to download, then click on “Save As” and save the video in your preferred folder.
Your video will be downloaded within a few minutes.
Using Inspect Element on Google Chrome
If you’re not a regular user of Mozilla Firefox, then you can also use Google Chrome to download your video. However, there’s a slight change in the steps of Chrome compared to Firefox.
Follow the steps below to download JW Player videos.
Step 1: Open Google Chrome and visit the web page from where you want to download the video.
Step 2: Right-click on the page and select “Inspect”.
Step 3: By default, the Element tab will be open, you have to select the Network tab.
Step 4: Once the Network tab is opened, click on Media. Don’t get confused as there are various tabs and information. Instead, see the below image to find the Media tab easily.
Step 5: You won’t see any media on the list. So, you need to play the video first, and then you’ll be able to see the video file in the list.
However, you don’t need to watch the full video, you can pause it as soon as you see the video file in the media tab.
Step 6: Right-click on the video file that you want to download and click on the “Open in new tab”.
Step 7: Once your video is opened in the new tab, right-click anywhere on the video and save it in your preferred folder.
Although this method (Inspect Element) is also applicable for Firefox and Safari.
Using Flash Video Downloader
You can use the Flash Video Downloader which is a Chrome extension to download JW Player videos.
If the above methods didn’t work out for you, then this method will definitely work for you. To get started, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Firstly, you need to open the Chrome browser on your PC and install the Flash Video Downloader extension.
Step 2: Once it’s installed, visit the web page from where you want to download the video.
Step 3: Now, play video for some time, then on the top bar, click on the Flash Video Downloader icon.
Step 4: Click on the “down arrow” icon and the video will be downloaded within a few minutes.
Update: The Flash Video Downloader was also available as a Firefox add-on, but recently, the developer removed it from the browser.
Using Internet Download Manager (IDM)
Whenever it comes to downloading an online video, the Internet Download Manager (or IDM) is always the first choice among people.
Along with the video format, IDM allows you to download other file formats as well. To get started with it, you can register for a 30-day free trial.
Step 1: First, download the Internet Download Manager on your PC.
Step 2: Once it’s installed, open any browser on your desktop and visit the web page where the JW Player video is available.
Step 3: Now, you’ll see a “Download this video” button at the top right corner of the video. If you aren’t able to see it, then play video for some time, and check once again.

Firstly, you need to download GetFLV player on your PC, and then you have to follow the below steps.
Step 1: Launch the GetFLV player.
Step 2: Copy the URL of the web page where the JW Player video is available and then paste it on the address bar of the player.
Step 3: Once you paste the URL, click on the right arrow next to the address bar. It will allow GetFLV to detect all the videos within the page.
