Tip 1: Check for the iOS update, visit Settings > General > Software Update. If the backup is available, it’s recommended to backup the data and try to update the device.

Tip 2: Check Blocked Contacts, visit Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts. If you have blocked a call in iOS it goes in voicemail, unblock the required contact.

Check Do Not Disturb settings

Step 1: Check if Do Not Disturb settings are interfering, visit Settings > Do Not Disturb. Or open Control Centre and check if the crescent moon icon doesn’t appear. Some users have reported that Do not Disturb mode was enabled even if there is no crescent moon symbol. Check Apple Watch

If you’re using an Apple Watch then make sure that Do Not Disturb Mode is turned off, as incoming calls will go in voicemail instead of ringing.

Additional Steps

Step 1: Make sure to turn off Airplane mode, visit Settings > Airplane Mode.

Step 2: Turn on Announce Calls feature, visit Settings > Phone > Announce Calls > Always.
