Suppose you’re about to receive an important incoming call from a business, friend, or family, or from a loved one. And it goes directly to the voicemail without ringing, this could create a huge problem. In fact, some users are facing the exact same issue on their iPhones.
It is noticed that this is mostly happening with iPhone users, after a major or minor iOS update. or users who switched from Android to iPhone or vice-versa. Here’s how to resolve the issue, just the guide that we’ve managed to provide. Without further delay, let’s get started.
How to Fix iPhone Incoming Call Directly Goes To Voicemail Without Ringning
Tip 1: Check for the iOS update, visit Settings > General > Software Update. If the backup is available, it’s recommended to backup the data and try to update the device.
Tip 2: Check Blocked Contacts, visit Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts. If you have blocked a call in iOS it goes in voicemail, unblock the required contact.
Tip 3: If you’re using third-party call blockers, that might interfere and cause this issue. Delete the app to see if there’s any difference.
Tip 4: Toggle off Silence Unknown Callers (for iOS 13 and above), visit Settings > Phone > Silence Unknown Callers and toggle it off.
Tip 5: Turn off Call forwarding, visit Settings > Phone > Call Forwarding.
Tip 6: Check if the mute mode isn’t enabled and/or the iPhone’s Ring/Silent switch is OFF meaning the ringer is ON. A bell flashes briefly on the screen when you turn on the ringer/
Check Do Not Disturb settings
Step 1: Check if Do Not Disturb settings are interfering, visit Settings > Do Not Disturb. Or open Control Centre and check if the crescent moon icon doesn’t appear. Some users have reported that Do not Disturb mode was enabled even if there is no crescent moon symbol. Change Do Not Disturb settings Allow Calls from Everyone, make the changes even if you don’t have DND mode enabled.
Step 2: Also, turn off Do Not Disturb While Driving, this feature is present in the iOS 11+ feature, visit Settings > Control Centre > Customize and tap on the “+” sign to add it to Control Centre.
Check Apple Watch
If you’re using an Apple Watch then make sure that Do Not Disturb Mode is turned off, as incoming calls will go in voicemail instead of ringing.
Step 1: Make sure to turn off Airplane mode, visit Settings > Airplane Mode.
Step 2: Turn on Announce Calls feature, visit Settings > Phone > Announce Calls > Always.
Step 3: Make sure to update the carrier software, visit Settings > General > About.
Step 4: Turn off LTE, visit Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options > turn off Enable LTE option.
Step 5: Power off the phone and re-insert the SIM card.
Step 6: Turning Cellular Roaming is worked for many users, visit Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Option > Roaming > Voice Roaming > Off (Make sure to perform the step if you’re using Verizon plan on iPhone).
Step 7: Switching on Cellular or Mobile connection has worked for many users instead of Wi-Fi.
Step 8: Reset Network Settings by visiting Settings > Genral > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
What if Nothing Works?
