Samsung Odin 3.14.4 is the latest version of the tool and it is available free for download.
Samsung Odin Flash tool is a Stock ROM/Firmware flashing tool for Samsung Galaxy Smartphones and Tablets running Android operating system. Odin tool helps installing tar.md5 firmware binary files (BL, AP, CP, CSC, HOME CSC, and PIT) using a Windows computer. Although, it is important to note here that unofficial versions are also available for Linux and Mac platforms as well.
The tool was made by the manufacturer, Samsung itself, to be used internally and in its authorized service centers to flash stock firmware on their devices. But thanks to our beloved developers over at XDA (and other kind souls on the internet), who have been kind enough in sharing the updated versions of the Odin Tool with us.
Now that it is on the internet, you can freely download Odin Tool and use it to flash stock firmware on your Samsung Galaxy devices. But, the benefits of using the Odin Flash tool do not stop there. You could do a whole of other things with this powerful tool which we can see in the upcoming sections.
Latest Odin Download for Windows
The official version of Samsung Odin tool is only available for Windows. But fortunately, the unofficial Samsung Odin for Mac and Linux are also available for download.
Odin tool has changed quite a bit since it’s inception but you would not notice any changes on the UI. The changes are all internal for the most part. For example, the latest Odin version, Odin 3.14.4, works well with Samsung latest LZ4 compression method. While Odin v3.13.1, Odin3.13.3 also work fine with this sort of firmware, anything older than that would not work.
Before you proceed to download, find out which odin version right for your Samsung device and firmware version.
